AHG Dealership – Lack of Support from Head Office

This Blog concerns a major servicing problem that was completed during a scheduled service of a VW Caddy by Southside VW – this Dealership is part of the AHG group and as Southside VW were not properly rectifying the problem and the Dealer Principal (Mr Daniel Davies) was appearing to be dishonest (with regard to the problem), I felt that it was correct to advise AVG of the problem and see if they could assist.

My covering email to AHG Western Australia Head Office follows (all previous emails were included detailing the extent of the problem):

Subject: Fw: VW Case Number 1016641

Hi,

I can’t seem to find any complaints links for your organisation, could you please forward this email to your head of PR/Complaints as one of your dealerships is displaying bad business ethics and is appearing to be dishonest and this is now spiralling out of control.

“Overall Southside VW have proven to be incompetent and appear to be dishonest and this dishonesty appears to go to the very top.”

Can you advise who this is being forwarded to?

This email confirms that we have received your email below.

Our Policy is to advise the Dealer Principal of the complaint and I have copied Daniel Davies who is a very experienced Dealer Principal and is fully aware of all his customer service obligations.

Whilst your complaint has being recorded at AHG we do not get directly involved in issues of this nature. I have asked Daniel Davies to investigate your concerns and respond to you direct via email.

My reply to Jim Hanfee

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your reply but I do not feel that Daniel Davies is working towards resolving this problem, In my opinion (and supported by facts) he is in denial and it is highly unlikely that he will resolve this issue.

As a matter of courtesy I sent you a copy of the emails as clearly this matter will be escalating and then have ramifications for Southside VW, AHG and VW Australia.

As of Sunday August 2nd there have been no further replies from Jim Hanafee or Daniel Davies, if fact after over 3 weeks and multiple emails/phone conversations with Southside VW Mr Daniel Davies has never found the time to contact me to try to resolve this issue.
